97th ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION IN NASHVILLE, TN., JUNE 27 - JULY 1, 2018 July 15, 2018 Betty Schneider Great Bend Pilot Club members attending convention were Mary Cramer, Rhonda Knudson, Betty Schneider and Renee Johnson. PILOTS PARTICIPATE IN THE FOOD PACKAGING FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN Ks-Mo District Pilots set up the tables for the food packaging. Pilot who participated were (back) Rhonda Knudson, Ruth Gerald and Sue Penn. (front) Renee Johnson, Karen Schroeder, Frances Ferguson ("known as boss"0, Betty Schneider, Debie Rowe and Mary Cramer. All tables were set up the in the same order in precision lines for the food bins, funnels, scales and vacuum sealers. Most Pilot at the convention participated in this wonderful project to package 30,000 bags of food for underprivileged children in the Nashville and Knoxville area. Precise amounts of rice, soy, dried vegetables and a vitamin packet were placed in the plastic bags, weighed, sealed and placed in boxes with the expiration date. Pilots listen to instructions prior to packing the food into bags Everyone wore caps on their heads, aprons and those who handled the food also wore gloves. Expiration date placed on all boxes.
