Pilot Club Meeting at Oil and Gas Museum In Great Bend
Danielle Feist, director of the Oil & Gas Museum, showed Pilots items on display at the museum and talked about their relevance to the oil industry.
BRAIN AWARENESS WEEK - March 12-18, 2018
BRAIN AWARENESS WEEK (BAW) is the global campaign to increase public awareness of the progress and benefits of brain research. Pilot International is a global partner. Every March, BAW unites the efforts of partner organizations worldwide like Pilot International and the Pilot Club of Great Bend in a celebration of the brain for people of all ages. Activities are limited only by the organizers' imaginations and include open days at neuroscience labs; exhibitions about the brain; lectures on brain-related topics; social media campaigns; displays at libraries and community centers; community proclamations; classroom workshops; and more. March 12-18, 2018 is Brain Awareness Week.
Pilot Club Committe members responsible for providing the Autism Disorder Workshop on Saturday, April 7, 2018 are Betty Schneider, Marcia Johnson, Sally O’Connor, Janice Walker, Ros Neeland and Heather Quillin from Sunflower Diversifed. Great Bend Pilots assisted the committe on the day of the workshop. The workshop was a tremendous success with 92 people from the state of Kansas attending.
All Pilots attending were given a beautiful white ceramic angel by Rhonda Knudson. Each member was given a ticket by Rhonda for multiple drawings through the lunch. Everyone enjoyed the lunch, meal and decant chocolate desert.

Body Venture is a traveling exhibit from the Kansas State Department of Education, Child Nutrition & Wellness that consists of a 45-foot by 50-foot walk-through exhibit representing he human body
